ABOUT US
Too many children are leaving the education system without the skills and the mindset needed to compete in a dynamic knowledge-based economy and a socially competitive market.

What We Believe
At Learn for Life Lanka (L4LL)
- We believe that all young people should be equipped with skills that give them an equal opportunity to reach their highest potential.
- We believe that teenagers should be made aware of different career pathways, so that they can make informed decisions on their work choices.
- We believe that people can learn to self-regulate their emotions and with practice, develop the grit required to meet their goals.
- We believe that people can be empathetic towards others and can build and sustain strong, healthy relationships.
- We believe that as Sri Lankans we can come together to encourage our next generation of young people to be the best versions of themselves.
What We Do
L4LL works with parents, teachers and students to encourage the adoption of social-emotional learning (SEL). We collaborate with partner organizations to build curriculum and disseminate SEL skills through online learning and in-person programmes.
Most students from economically disadvantaged communities in Sri Lanka are unaware of the career opportunities that are available in the Sri Lankan workplace. We approach businesses to encourage them to allow students to spend a day at their organizations – learning about their processes, the different jobs people do and listening to management and staff talk about their career journeys.
